Resolution Program
Take the Initiative to Improve Your Health
The Resolution Program is a medically supervised exercise program designed for individuals who have:
- A known history of cardiac, pulmonary or vascular disease
- Risk factors for heart disease or stroke, such as high cholesterol, high blood pressure, diabetes and obesity
- Other conditions for which medical supervision is needed to begin an exercise program safely
Clients in the Resolution Program will work out gently to help reduce their risk factors, increase strength and endurance, improve balance and stability, decrease shortness of breath, and lose or maintain weight.
For your safety and comfort, our exercise physiologists will design and progress an individualized exercise program based on your stress test results or other medical records, as well as your own personal goals. In addition, they will monitor your blood pressure, heart rate and oxygen saturation before, during and after every exercise session in the effort to make sure your workout is sufficiently challenging but not overwhelming.
Our experts are friendly, knowledgeable and willing to listen to your concerns. Their goal is to help you achieve measurable progress, but at a reasonable pace, so you can feel confident about working out.
Exercise sessions are one hour in length and are held two or three days a week – Monday, Wednesday and Friday, or Tuesday and Thursday.
The program includes:
- Cardiovascular conditioning
- Resistance training
- Flexibility exercises
- Nutrition and stress management classes
