Audiology
Audiology services at Memorial (link to regional rehab main page) are available for all age groups (geriatric, adult, pediatric and newborn). These services are performed by a licensed, certified audiologist. The following services are available:
Standard audiological evaluation on pediatric, adult, geriatric patients may include:
- Standard audiological evaluation
- Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR)
- Auditory Steady State Response (ASSR)
- Visual reinforcement audiometry
- Behavioral observation audiometry
- Play audiometry
- Otoacoustic emissions (OAE)
Immittance testing:
- Tympanometry
- Acoustic reflex assessment
- Eustachian tube function
*Newborn hearing screenings and follow-up testing via auditory brainstem response testing and/or otoacoustic emissions testing
*Retro-cochlear and/or VIII cranial nerve assessment via audiological, auditory brainstem response evaluations and otoacoustic emission testing
