Healthy Eating for Active Teens (HEAT)
Healthy Eating for Active Teens (HEAT) is a weight-loss program designed for teens ages 12-18, taught by a registered dietitian. This 10-week program is designed for the teen and the dietitian to meet each week, one-on-one.
The HEAT program combines personal training and nutrition counseling together. Since each teen is different, the program is individualized to meet the teen’s needs. The teen is not put on a restrictive diet but rather is taught how to make healthier choices. Exercise plays an integral part in the success of the program.
Parental involvement is encouraged but not essential for the program. The parent can join the gym for the 10-week period at a special rate. The teen has full access to the gym while they are in the HEAT program.
