Memorial has classes to help meet different needs for people at every level of proficiency, from beginner to advanced.

The following regularly scheduled classes are offered at Memorial Hospital West Fitness Center in Pembroke Pines. To view a complete schedule with dates and times, view our class calendar.

Group Fitness Classes

All Systems Go!

Non-Stop resistance movement using the entire TOY BOX of balls, gliders, bands, weights, etc... Mix it up and go! High energy workout that will leave you exhilarated and toned!

A fast paced workout-incorporating Strength-Toning with the use of Body toning barbells. Pump It Up!

Belly Dancing

Hammertime 30

30 minute challenge using the ViPR. Full body with a focus on CORE.

Kids in Training

This class is designed for kids ages 9-13 years old. The class brings kids together for serious exercise structured to develop a foundation for a lifestyle that will always include exercise. Work hard and have fun at the same time. A separate fee applies to this class. Sign up at the front desk to reserve a space.

Kids Zone

Great class designed for kids to help “Burn” the energy. Class is set in fun non-competitive environment.
Ages 6 to 11

Latin Dance Party

An aerobic work out with Latin twist. Learn to move to different Latin rhythms.

Light and Easy

This class is a low-level group exercise class. Some participants may perform exercises in a chair. This can be an excellent start for someone graduating from rehabilitation.

Pilates

This class combines two Pilates formats: a Western approach for muscle tone and Eastern traditions for centering and flexibility.

PowerPlay

A functional dynamic workout that will challenge your balance, agility and core. This Heart Pounding class is in a circuit format and will deliver the burn your looking for.

Want to see changes in you? Bring life's stress under control. Transform with our Power Yoga class.

Rock Sturdy

Maintain an active lifestyle via good posture, a solid core and strong glutes. Loss of balance and functionality with age is not inevitable.
Check with Staff to determine if appropriate.

Rush Hour

A high energy class that combines toning/cardio at an interval pace. Burn off the Rush Hour stress with a great workout.

This class is designed for Memorial Simply Healthy participants. For Memorial employees only.

High energy Spin Cardio with a portion of the class dedicated to challenge the Core.

Steps and Abs

45 minutes of classic step followed by an intense 15 minutes of abs.

Improve strength, balance and flexibility by working with an exercise ball. The focus of this class is core strength.

Improve the way you look, feel and perform. Stretch and strengthen muscles without adding bulk.
Focus on the core and heighten body awareness. Based on the work of the late Joseph Pilates

Pink Ribbon Yoga

A yoga class designed for individuals with breast cancer. The class emphasizes relaxation, restorative breathing and gentle stretching to promote overall wellness using gentle asana (yoga postures).

Power Yoga

Yoga combined with great toning exercise. The right balance.

Pure Relaxation

Let go of daily stress, feel tension melt away as you gently stretch tight muscles. Breathing exercises and mental imagery help to ease stress out of your body.

Stretch and Strengthen

Create a leaner, stronger, more flexible body by using classic sculpting and stretching techniques. Finish with a stretching session utilizing straps.
